04/07/2011 - the site never seemed to go anywhere - but see my recent post here for a couple of great sites that do work!

  8. Hi! No idea why it has taken me years to find this post - but I did!

I am a co-founder of a website named www.seamedup.com and we are striving to become the ravelry/flickr for quilters. Of course - those sites are way older than we are (in website years they are like 100 and we are infants!) and much more advanced - but I think we have developed a really good beta site that is currently open for membership. Membership is always free.

We have a place for you to track your fabric stash, your patterns, and your projects. You can link fabrics to patterns and patterns to fabrics - this means that if you search for a particular fabric - any project that has that fabric in it will also be displayed!

We are taking the summer to work out our kinks and get our ducks in a row (we have been racing for 18 months and need to catch our breath). In the Fall (or maybe even earlier, who knows?!) you will be able to find quilting books, notions, and sewing machines as well. We will have a great resource center filled with free patterns, tutorials and reviews. You will be able to sell your quilty goodness on the site. and then some!

Who are we? We are quilting podcasters (my name is Allison and my partner's name is Brye) and moms, and bloggers, and career woman, and QUILTERS who wanted this site ourselves - so we endeavored to build it.

Come and play.  Sure - it's still young but the ground floor is more fun with friends because you can play to the next floor and beyond.

If you ever have any feedback - we would love to hear it:)

    Thanks - Allison.

  10. Thanks for the heads up Allison. I've finally updated this post and taken off the link to that old site that never went anywhere and written a new post with your website details.
