It's such a super-cute pattern, and is available as a pdf from mmmcraft's Etsy shop and you can also see it on the blog here. It took two days all up, so pretty fast for me!
I really love the binky too. Given I was in a bit of a rush I wasn't able to over-think the whole fabric selection bit and that probably means I'm much more satisfied with it in the end! It's just two layers of fabric sewn right sides together, turned right side out and then finished with edge stitching and embroidery thread ties. The backing is a pale blue linen.
The bunny is also made from linen, with wool felt and a bit of Heather Bailey jelly beans in pink (or something like that, don't think it's available anymore).
The nose is padded satin stitch and the eyes are stem stitch.
Can't make the tail any cuter though!
Aww .. this is gorgeous .. I would love one myself (even though I'm almost 40)
ReplyDeletethis is really so sweet and perfectly done!

This pattern is absolutely adorable, How long do you think it took to make? I think the fabrics you chose for the little quilt blend beautifully, I wish I had lots more time to sew :-)
ReplyDeleteCutest thing ever! I'm in love!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It helped that the pattern was disgustingly cute to start with :)
ReplyDeleteLOL. Totally know that feeling!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! It's nice to spread the word about good patterns.
ReplyDeleteI'm just trying to remember what I did when...I got the pattern by email one morning, printed it and cut out the pieces. Then I figured out what fabrics I was going to use. I did that while Haze was at school. I managed to cut out the fabric for the bunny that night when she was in bed and I think I got the arms and legs sewed up so I could clip the curves and turn them watching tv. Then the next day I just really blasted it for a few hours and got it all done bar the arm and leg sewing up and tail, which I finished up the third day. But when I add up the time it was really quite fast, I wasn't spending the whole day or evening doing things. I'd say if you were just doing it at night then maybe 2 or three nights? Depends on how fast you are, but it's not a complicated pattern at all.
ReplyDeleteSo am I! I hope Hazel will let me cuddle it and practice my swaddling technique.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! Thanks very much for the lovely pattern review and for adding your pretty bunny to the flickr group.
